The Vision Behind Aspire Construction Services
In late 2018, Grant Krueger had a vision for a company that prioritized creating win-win scenarios for all. Tired of the notion that business had to be a zero-sum game, he aspired to build a company where clients, partners, subcontractors, and employees could all benefit and grow through their interactions and business dealings.
His wife, Elizabeth, played a pivotal role in bringing this vision to life when she came up with the name Aspire. With her approval, Aspire Construction Services was officially founded in January 2019.
Aspire’s early days were modest. Initially, tools and equipment were stored in Grant’s garage, but by spring, the company expanded into a 5x10 storage unit. That summer, upgrading to a 10x20 unit felt like a significant milestone!
In July 2020, Aspire moved into its first official home on Charlestown Industrial in St. Charles. By 2024, continued growth led to another move—this time to Lake St. Louis, where Aspire currently operates.
Along the way our growth has been built on the same core principle that propelled Grant to start Aspire. As we look to the future we are proud of our dedicated employees whose desire for new opportunities is paramount to our growth while
remaining steadfast in our desire to promote success for all.
Grant Krueger is a licensed professional engineer who, after working in the engineering field for two years following graduation, decided to make a career change and pursue a job in commercial general construction. After gaining experience with two large general contractors, Grant took the leap to start his own business.
In January 2019, he launched Aspire Construction, where he handled everything from framing and job site cleanup to estimating, reviewing submittals, and managing finances in the early days. Over time, he worked diligently to transform Aspire from a small business into a thriving company. Today, Grant leads a dedicated team, including project managers, the accounting department, office support staff, superintendents, and tradesmen.
Outside of Aspire, Grant enjoys spending time with his family—his wife of 20 years, Elizabeth, their two children, Brianna and Reece, and their two dogs, Austin and Tiny. He starts his days with early morning workouts alongside his F3 group and is an active member of
Immanuel Lutheran Church in St. Charles.
Heidi Maxwell brought over 20 years of manufacturing experience from the publishing and printing industry to Aspire Construction in 2019. During her last five years at Elsevier, she managed national and international accounts, projects, and teams while developing operating procedures to create a more organized and efficient infrastructure. At Aspire, she leads her team with the belief that success is a reflection of the professional team around her.
An avid sports fan, Heidi finds some of her happiest moments watching her two children compete in soccer, baseball, basketball, football, wrestling, and lacrosse. Growing up in rural
Central Missouri, she developed a deep love for the countryside and the outdoors. Above all, her heart is in helping those around her and staying true to her faith.
